Indian Railways has ordered an investigation after an unmanned practice touring from Jammu to Punjab traveled greater than 70 km (43.4 miles).
Officers say it began happening the sloping observe after the motive force and his assistant disembarked for a crew change.
The practice consisting of 53 wagons carrying stone chips traveled at a pace of about 100 km/h (about 62 mph) and managed to move about 5 stations earlier than stopping.
“The practice was stopped after a railway official positioned items of wooden on the tracks to cease the practice,” officers informed the Press Belief of India (PTI) information company.
Authorities closed the railway crossing in its path and nobody was injured.
