'America is constructed on stolen land': Washington Submit blames conservatives for crime rise 'ethical panic'

A brand new report from the Washington Submit has responded by blaming “capitalism” for empty retailer cabinets and referring to the rise in crime stories as a conservative-inspired “ethical panic.”

“America is a sticky nation constructed on theft, and its present ethical panic is about shoplifting,” tradition reporter Maura Judkis wrote Friday in an article titled “The Zombie CVS, a Late-Capitalism Horror Story.” “

Judkis featured a narrative of a Washington, DC, CVS retailer that was looted a lot that there was nearly nothing left on the cabinets earlier than it in the end closed in February.

…As an alternative of pointing the finger on the culprits of those crimes, Judkis complained that conservatives have used the rise in crime to criticize cities ruled by liberals.

“It's turn out to be a horror story of late capitalism,” The Washington Submit stories, including that the empty CVS someway represents every thing that's improper with American cities — and liberals (and liberal democrats?) — in 2024. Had turn out to be a stand-in. ,

The issue of retail theft has been nicely documented.

This remark from Michael Malice is straight hearth.

The left refuses to see actuality on this difficulty. They won’t blame the criminals for something.
