California's Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is facing another recall effort, the second in three years, as a conservative group launches a new campaign to remove him from office.

On Monday morning, Rescue California served notice of intent to recall to Governor Newsom, reprising his role from the 2021 recall effort.

The conservative group collected more than the 1.5 million signatures needed to recall the election. However, California Governor Gavin Newsom escapes recall by fraud Election.

There were plenty of opportunities for rampant fraud because there is no chain of custody with ballot harvesting, mail-in ballots, ballot drop boxes, and home-printing of ballots.

Over 30% of the people who signed the petition to recall Newsom were independents and Democrats, but he reportedly won the recall in a 'landslide'. Even more ridiculous, Gavin Newsom 'won' conservative Orange County: 52.6% (464,164) voted “no” while 47.4% (418,362) voted yes, KTLA 5 reported.

Defend California, undeterred by the previous result, on Monday announced its plans to launch another recall campaign against Governor Newsom.

“We applied this morning. We gave notice of our intention to recall the Governor. This is the initial element of the entire process of getting someone back into the office together. We then applied to the Secretary of State as well,” said Anne Hyde Dunsmore, campaigns director for Rescue California.

Dunsmore said the decision to initiate the recall was driven by a series of policy failures and fiscal mismanagement, culminating in a staggering $73 billion budget deficit as reported by the Legislative Analyst's Office – a figure that has ballooned in the short term. The increase has been seen since week.

According to Rescue California's website:

Governor Newsom has abandoned the state to pursue his presidential ambitions, leaving behind a $68 billion budget deficit and public safety, immigration, and education crises. He:

  • Free health care provided to 700,000 illegal immigrants cost taxpayers $3 billion annually while cutting vital programs for veterans, schoolchildren, the disabled, and the homeless.
  • Schools were closed longer during COVID than in other states, causing California students to fall further behind in basic skills like language and math.
  • Closed prisons and ordered the release of thousands of dangerous criminals onto our streets.
  • Weakened our public safety laws, creating an epidemic of robbery crimes and violent assaults.
  • Californians were forced to suffer under the highest taxes in the country and the highest home prices outside of Hawaii while they undermined Proposition 13.
  • Spends billions on government homelessness programs that have repeatedly failed.

The effort, which began with more than 450 signatories in five counties, exceeds the new requirement set by state rules that mandate a minimum of 325 signatures from at least five counties.

Despite the challenges of organizing the recall, Dunsmore is confident in his group's vision. With a streamlined strategy and a lower signature threshold than previous campaigns, Rescue California aims to gather the necessary support within a 160 to 180-day (6-month) time frame.

The group has a limited timeline to collect signatures, with the goal of qualifying for the ballot before key political dates like the Democratic National Convention.

Dunsmore emphasizes that Rescue California is not aligning with any one candidate to replace the governor. Instead, the organization seeks to create opportunities for competent leadership to emerge.

As the recall movement gains momentum, Dunsmore urged Californians to join the effort, emphasizing the grassroots nature of the effort and the importance of holding the governor accountable for the state's fiscal plight.
