Rapper Fat Joe is speaking out to defend himself for buying Donald Trump's new sneakers despite not being a fan of the former president.

Any of these artists you were involved with. You love art, so you get it. I think they separate the art from the person.”
“Now, I'm a sneaker collector,” he continued. “I had to get my hands on Trump. No problem…listen, I have thousands of pairs of sneakers. When everyone was obsessed with Kanye, I went and bought two of the most exclusive Kanye's ever…I have to get my hands on them.'
“Once again, I am not Trumper. I dislike Trump. I am not voting for him. Not now, not ever,” Fat Joe concluded. “But I'm a sneaker collector into art. So, I had to find these.

Trump launches new sneaker
This came after Trump launched his new Never Surrender sneaker, which is priced at $399, at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia on February 17.
“A lot of emotions. “There's a lot of emotion in this room,” Trump said as he took the stage at the event, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. “They have lines going around the block. “They have never seen anything like this.”
“I just want to tell you, you know, I've wanted to do this for a long time. I have some incredible people who work with me on things and they came up with this,” Trump continued. “This is something I've been talking about for 12 years, 13 years and I think it's going to be a huge success.”
Trump further said that “influential people” have been “very positive” about the new sneakers, which are gold high-tops that prominently feature both the letter “T” and the American flag.
“They like it, and they like what we've done,” Trump said, showing the shoes to the crowd. “This is the real deal.”
After calling on the audience to vote, Trump promised that he would “change this country fast” as the crowd chanted “USA, USA, USA!” Started raising slogans.
Liberals were certainly upset that Trump was allowed to speak at Sneaker Con, and event organizers were soon forced to issue a statement defending themselves.
“Sneaker Con's mission is to support and promote sneaker culture through our worldwide live events and digital platforms,” he said. “We are grateful and appreciative of the sneaker community, and recognize the individuals who create awareness and authentic sneaker engagement for our community. #SneakerCon.”

Fats Joe's anti-Trump views
Regardless of buying Trump's sneakers, Fats Joe has all the time been a vocal critic of the previous president.
