England boss Gareth Southgate has branded rumors linking him with the Manchester United job as “absolutely outrageous”.

A recent report covered by The People's Person stated that Southgate is potentially a leading candidate to replace Eric ten Hag.

Ten Hague have seen a very disappointing season and there is a possibility that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS could make managerial changes after the campaign ends.

It was mentioned that Southgate is Ratcliffe's number one choice to replace Ten Hag.

United's new co-owner is believed to be an admirer of Southgate's work with the Three Lions. Southgate also has the support of incoming sporting director Dan Ashworth. The pair had worked together before before Ashworth returned to club football.

Ahead of England's friendly against Brazil at Wembley on Saturday, Southgate was asked about reports that he could be moving to Old Trafford in the near future.

“I think there are two things from my point of view, one is that I'm the England manager, I've got basically one job – to try to get a European Championship,” the 53-year-old replied.

“Obviously before that, there are two important games this week.”

“The second thing is that Manchester United have a manager and I think it's always a complete disgrace when there is a manager.”

“I'm president of the LMA (League Managers Association) so I don't really have time for that kind of thing.”

Southgate has been the supervisor of England since 2016.

His present deal is because of expire in December, however the FA are attempting to influence him to place pen to paper on new phrases, which might assist him stay on the helm of the nationwide group.
