Hollywood star Danica McKellar of “The Wonder Years” fame is celebrating after successfully completing the challenge of reading the entire Bible from cover to cover in just one year.
McKellar opens up about reading the Bible
While walking the red carpet at the 31st Annual Movieguide Awards, McKellar told Fox News that she is “right now on round two” after meeting her goal.
“It's just, doing something regularly is always a challenge, isn't it? Because you get busy,” said McKellar, 49. “And I don't have a regular schedule in my life, doing movies and then not doing movies, but I found that if I just did two sessions a day for a while , I could catch up, like after shooting a movie. This is the most challenging.”
He added, “The most rewarding is getting to know God better and understanding some of the patterns and this theme of 'Oh, arrogance versus humility' is really strong throughout the story.” “Maybe we should pay attention to that.”
Another Biblical theme that stood out to McKellar was “the idea of forgiveness, (and) the Lord's Prayer.”
McKellar explained, “Obviously, this is a big, big deal and we need to pay attention to it because forgiving other people who have transgressed against us is one of the most challenging things a human being can do and then This is our job too.” “So, it was beautiful to see all that again and again through the Bible.”

McKellar found God
McKellar has been open about not finding God until later in life, thanks to her good friend “Full House” and Candace Cameron Bure of “Fuller House” fame.
“I've been around Christianity in some form or another my whole life, but it's never really taken off,” McKellar told Fox News last December. “And my good friend Candace Cameron Bure…she brought me to church. And all I can say is that something has happened.”
She added, “All I know is… I was filled with this love and understanding.” “I've always been so biased toward Christianity for various reasons, mostly because of its bad reputation because of the wars, and you think, 'Oh, Christians are really these judgmental people,' and all this religious stuff. True. So it's that Jesus was anti-religious. He was anti-religious, and I didn't even realize it.”
McKellar further said that when Cameron Bure took her to church to show her “Passion Play”, she felt “suddenly he understood.”
She added, “I always thought there was a higher power and I wanted to do the right thing, just because it's the right thing, when no one is watching, why does it matter, and it all came into focus.” Went.” “And I feel very blessed. I have this recent memory of being an unbeliever, and I have no judgment of any kind, I just want people to feel the love and peace that I feel now.

McKellar thanks Cameron Bure
Last year, McKellar appeared on his podcast to thank Cameron Bure directly
“Candace, I don't want to ignore the huge impact you've had on my life this year,” McKellar said, according to CBN News. “I don't even know how to call it friendship, it's more than that. Because of you helping me find my relationship with God and Jesus, it's been like a revolution in my life. It has been a revelation in my life.”
It's arduous sufficient to learn the Bible in its entirety over the course of a number of years, however ending it in only one 12 months is actually an awesome accomplishment. God bless McKellar for doing this, and we hope she continues to benefit from the Bible as she reads it over and over!
