A timelapse video has captured a volcano in Iceland spewing clouds of ash and smoke in opposition to the backdrop of the Northern Lights.
The volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula has erupted a number of instances this 12 months, resulting in a state of emergency being declared in southern Iceland in March.
The Northern Lights, also called the Aurora Borealis, are attributable to the interplay of the photo voltaic wind – a stream of charged particles emanating from the Solar – and the Earth's magnetic subject and environment.
