Iconic former New York Yankees nearer Mariano Rivera has formally thrown his help behind Donald Trump within the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
The announcement comes as former President Trump has stepped up his marketing campaign efforts to reclaim the White Home.
Rivera, revered within the baseball neighborhood for his distinctive abilities on the mound, has expressed confidence that Trump is the correct alternative to guide the nation as soon as once more.
Mariano Rivera, sometimes called the 'Sandman', a nickname he earned throughout his illustrious 19-season tenure with the Yankees, has been praised by Trump as “in all probability the best pitcher of all time.”
Their relationship made headlines in 2019 when Trump awarded Rivera the Medal of Freedom, the best civilian award in the US, with Metallica's “Enter Sandman”.
In a latest dialog with radio host Sid Rosenberg, Rivera was requested about his views on the present international state of affairs and whether or not he believes Donald Trump must be re-elected. Rivera put aside partisan preferences, saying his help was not about leaning “to the correct or the left” however selecting “what is correct for the nation,” in keeping with the Gazette.
“President Trump, he’s my buddy,” he insisted. I can't deny it. I’ll inform this to anybody. He was my buddy earlier than he turned President. Due to this, I’m going to vote for him.
The previous president shared Rivera's interview on his Reality social platform on Sunday, highlighting their mutual respect and friendship.
