A bridge close to the Kerr Lock and Dam in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, was closed Saturday after it was struck by a barge.
“Oklahoma Freeway Patrol responded to Sequoyah County after a barge struck a bridge close to the Kerr Lock and Dam,” 4029tv.com studies.
“US-59 south of Sallisaw at Kerr Reservoir is totally closed right now resulting from a barge that hit the bridge. Troopers are diverting visitors away from the world. The bridge will stay closed till it may be inspected, the Oklahoma Freeway Patrol mentioned Saturday.
Engineers reportedly inspected the bridge and reopened it for journey afterward Saturday.
A shocked bystander, who captured the collision on video, dialed 911 to report the incident.
