Irish President Michael D Higgins has been taken to hospital after feeling unwell.
The 82-year-old man was assessed by docs at his dwelling, the Presidential Residence, Arras en Uchtrain.
Nonetheless, in accordance with Irish nationwide broadcaster RTE he was taken to hospital for additional exams as a precaution.
Mr Higgins turned President in 2011 and was re-elected in November 2018.
On Wednesday night time he offered the 2024 Volta Lifetime Achievement Award to movie director Steve McQueen on the Dublin Worldwide Movie Competition.
