Last April, after Bud Light partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, singer Kid Rock initiated a highly affectionate boycott of the brand by posting a video on social media in which he took issue with Bud Light. However, now Kid Rock is trying to back out after saying that he has forgiven Bud Light.
Kid Rock hits back at Bud Light boycott
While being interviewed by popular podcast host Joe Rogan, Kid Rock described his viral Bud Light video as being like a “tantrum with a machine gun.”
“So what's it like to be the guy who puts out Bud Light?” Rogan asked.
Kid Rock replied, “Man, honestly, I was just having fun.” “I was angry, but it wasn't like it was going to ruin my day, let alone my life. I was like, 'What are they doing?'”
Kid Rock further stated that although he did not think he was the “Pied Piper” of the reaction, he did think he was the “face” of it.

Kid Rock befriends the CEO of Bud Light
“Throwing tantrums with a machine gun? 'Wow, wow, they want to let boys play girls' sports, wow,'” he said, adding that he has since become friends with Bud Light CEO Brandon Whitworth.
“We have become friends. He is a great boy. After talking to him for five minutes, Kid Rock further revealed that he met Whitworth at a UFC event he attended with former President Donald Trump last year.
“I'm like, 'Dude, you seem like someone I want to be friends with, hang out with.' And he says, 'You will do it, that's what I'm saying.' And I say, 'Okay, come to Nashville, come see me.' F–kin did it! Came with our top team… we broke bread, binged on Bud Light, went bowling, did all this fun stuff,” he said.
Kid Rock concluded by saying that he and Whitworth had talked about ways he could collaborate with Bud Light. However, Kid Rock ultimately decided not to move forward with it because he did not want to sacrifice changing his brand or image for the sake of a deal. That being said, he and Whitworth “still talk,” and Kid Rock wants it to be known that he has nothing against Bud Light anymore.

Child Rock forgives Bud Gentle
This comes two months after Child Rock referred to as for Bud Gentle to be waived.
