The earthquake was reported Friday morning in New Jersey, and tremors had been felt in Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut and Delaware.

The USGS filed a report at 10:23 am indicating a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck Lebanon, New Jersey, with a selected location of 40.672°N 74.784°W.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul stated, “My staff is assessing the impacts and any injury which will happen, and we are going to replace the general public all through the day.”
