Leave it to the women of “The View” to come up with the most hysterical interpretation of Donald Trump's every statement or action.
And on Wednesday, the ladies of “The View” were downright disappointed to learn about Trump's new effort to sell his “God Bless the USA” Bible with country singer Lee Greenwood.
As The Hill reported in its story on the subject, these Bibles cost around $60.
They included the King James Translation of the Bible, copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a handwritten verse of Greenwood's song, “God Bless the USA.”
Now, while Trump has generally not been the most flawless example of the good Christian life, and his initial announcement was somewhat odd, at least his attempt to “force America to pray again” should be applauded.
However, the women of “The View” didn't share this sentiment – in fact, they thought exactly the opposite.
As shown in this snippet of the show shared by the Daily Caller, co-host Sunny Hostin even thought the entire enterprise was “blasphemous.”

Hostin began by joking, “You know, it's Holy Week, and so I can't say what I want to say.”
Joy Behar, the co-host who has been in competition with Whoopi Goldberg for embarrassing herself most times on television, then chimed in with her two cents.
Behar said, “There is an old saying. … There's a historical saying that… 'When fascism comes to America, it will wave the flag and hold the Bible.'”
He then told the audience, “Take a look at the screen behind them”, which displayed the famous photo of Trump embracing the flag as well as Trump holding a Bible.
… And?
Many people have waved flags and held Bibles despite not being fascists, what exactly did they mean?
Moreover, Behar did not even remember the quote properly.
The quote was actually, “When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in flags and carry a cross,” author Sinclair Lewis said.
However, as the fact-checking website Snopes pointed out, it did not actually appear in any of his writings.
Never mind that the most famous fascists, Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, were quite religious, even non-religious (especially Hitler, because Catholic priests and nuns were sent to the gas chambers with the Jews).
However, alas, the ladies of “The View” weren't quite done yet.
Behar concluded by claiming, “This is what we are considering right now. Remember this in November.
And Hostin said as the last word, “This is blasphemy!”
The best irony was that the ladies of “The View” had been worse examples of fine Christian dwelling than Trump.
To start with, they’ve all been vocal in help of abortion, which is a morally reprehensible place opposite to Christian instructing, in addition to for homosexual marriage.
