Rescue providers say a bridge in Baltimore, Maryland has collapsed into the Patapsco River after colliding with a container ship.
Chief Kevin Cartwright, communications director for the Baltimore Metropolis Fireplace Division, confirmed to the BBC that the bridge was struck by “a big vessel”, inflicting it to fall into the river.
He additionally mentioned that “seven individuals and several other automobiles” had fallen into the river.
A multi-agency rescue operation is now underway on the web site. At current it’s not clear whether or not there are any casualties or not.
