Donald Trump fired late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel for reading criticism of the former president's Oscar hosting job during the Academy Awards earlier this month.

According to The Hill, Trump said, “Now look, look, Jimmy Kimmel is on every night… every night, he kills me, I think, his ratings are terrible.” “I heard he hits me all the time, so I thought I'd hit him up because I thought he was a lousy host.”

Trump shuts down Kimmel
Trump hit back yesterday, saying that he did not expect Kimmel to read his post, especially before the Academy Award for Best Picture was announced.

Kimmel acknowledged shortly after the show that he was told not to read Trump's posts.
“They were saying, 'You have a little time,' and I was saying, 'I'm reading Trump's tweets,' and they were saying, 'No, no, don't read it,'” Kimmel revealed. (I was like) 'Yes I am.'”
