The white Missouri teen who was beaten unconscious near Hazelwood High School last week, identified as “Kaylee,” is fighting for her life after suffering severe brain damage.
The victim's family said, “There is excessive bleeding and swelling in her brain and her condition is critical.” “Kaylee is working hard to survive and recover but this is the beginning of a very difficult battle for Kaylee and her family. We won't know the extent of brain damage until she wakes up, but the road to recovery will be extremely difficult for the family, not only mentally but also financially.”
According to the family, “Kaylie was left alone on the ground convulsing before EMTs arrived on scene.”
“He was admitted to one of the local hospitals in St. Louis with a skull fracture and frontal lobe damage,” the family said in a GoFundMe post.
A mob of black teenagers beat a 15-year-old girl unconscious while a large number of people stood by and watched. Additional fights broke out between other groups.
Kaylee suffered convulsions after the teen repeatedly hit her head on the cement.

Police on Saturday arrested a 15-year-old teenager in reference to the brutal beating.
Missouri Legal professional Normal Andrew Bailey referred to as for the teenager who beat Kaylee to be tried as an grownup.
