North Carolina's conservative Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson won the state's Republican primary for governor on Tuesday, and the liberal media is already coming after him.
If there's one type of person the liberal media hates, it's conservative black people. Robinson will face relentless media attacks from now until November.
In this case, a writer for the Huffington Post selectively edited a quote from Robinson during a recent interview.
RedState Report:
Media smears come for businessman Mark Robinson, derailed by the facts – and his own video
As we previously reported, following Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson's decisive victory in the North Carolina GOP gubernatorial primary race, the Democrat/media panic with the usual accusations of sexism, homophobia, anti-Semitism immediately began Tuesday night and continued into Wednesday. Continued till. And extremism is being abandoned with abandon.
In what should have been an “evening update” for that post, the media slander merchants are at it again, with the Huffington Post this time taking the latest step to stretch the quote out of context and make it mean something. It did not happen.
Jennifer Bendery, a senior politics reporter for HuffPo, wrote an article in which she declared that Robinson's 2020 comments, which were not readily “disclosed” even 24 hours after her victory was announced, summarized that she Like living in the days “where women couldn't vote.”
This is what the author posted on Twitter:

2020 NC GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson in newly revealed video: “I definitely want to go back to America where women couldn't vote.” https://t.co/dAlCe2DhPL

This is what the HuffPo report says:
During the event, Robinson, who was running for lieutenant governor at the time, recalled someone recently asking conservative activist Candace Owens what version of America would make America “great again,” where “blacks People were swinging from cheap trees” or where women were not allowed to vote.
Robinson said he would definitely return to the days in America when women were denied the right to vote “because in those days we had people who fought for real social change, and they were called Republicans.” used to go.”
RedState gives the full quote:
Although that last quote covers part of the story, it doesn't tell the whole story. In the sentence immediately after saying “And they were called Republicans”, Robinson added “And that's why women can vote today.”
Here is the video:
Individuals on the proper are coming to Robinson's protection.
Within the video clip, Robinson goes on to say that he *is* a Republican due to the nineteenth Modification.
He was clearly making an attempt to present the GOP credit score for ladies's suffrage, not say the world was higher off with out it.https://t.co/qk8kePbe5i pic.twitter.com/HMAeymrAwH

There will likely be extra to come back within the coming months. A candidate like Robinson scares the media.
